Profile

Born and raised in Fayetteville, Tennessee. Accepted Christ as Savior at age seven. Called into the ministry of worship in 1975. Used organizational gifts to establish worship ministries in five churches with a ministry spanning over 30 years. Has sung with many Christian music artists and provided platforms for their ministries.  Led choirs in recording projects. Produced first solo CD project in 2004.

Ministry History

First Baptist Church, Mableton, GA March, 1999-Present

Worship Pastor

  • Reestablished comprehensive music ministry  with choirs for every age group (3 years to senior adults) and grew Celebration Choir from 30 members to 100 in first year of ministry
  • Manage seven choirs, three ensembles, praise band, praise teams
  • Began and directed “The Journey” – the church’s annual Easter pageant, presented at the Mable House Amphitheatre with more than 2,000 attending each year
  • Directed the Celebration Choir to record two CDs with Phil Barfoot and Lari Goss (the latest CD to release in November, 2005)
  • Directed the Celebration Choir to present over ten musicals to FBC, Mableton, as well as in other churches and venues, including Marietta Square
  • Began the School of Fine Arts, to provide quality private instruction in Voice, Piano, Guitar, and other instruments
  • Facilitate and maintain Banner Ministry
  • Administrate Budgets for Music Ministry, Multimedia Ministry, Banner Ministry, Concert Ministry, and Pageant Ministry
  • Edit Weekly Worship Bulletin, Monthly Newsletter, and contribute articles to Quarterly Magazine and Web Administrator for Church website
  • Administrate Multimedia Ministry, including the weekly programming of multimedia software for worship services, coordination of Tech Team (audio, iMag, video, and lighting)
  • Hosted concerts featuring Steve Green, TRUTH, Dennis Jernigan, Squire Parsons, Amy Roth, Phil Cross, Geron Davis, and others
  • Led youth ensemble to participate in LifeWay’s SonPower Conferences in Orlando, FL, where the new LifeWay products are produced and recorded
  • Led church to purchase and utilize state of the art audio, multimedia, and lighting systems for the Worship Center
  • Led church to remodel Music Suite
  • Served as Interim Church Administrator for 2007-2008. In that capacity, led the church to give $70,000 in a one-day offering to cover indebtedness left by previous administration.
  • Directed the 100-voice Celebration Choir of FBC, Mableton along with the 70-piece orchestra of FBC, Woodstock as we presented “We Will Worship” in 2008.
  • Designed and added a recording studio in 2010.
