While I had planned to place a video blog here this morning, time simply didn’t allow. We watched God do some utterly amazing things in worship Sunday. The children, coupled with the Celebration Choir so led the opening of our worship with power and praise. The worship band did an amazing job of leading through instruments. The Brian Daniel painting with the Celebration Choir singing “When I Survey” was stirring. Stephen’s impassioned message on who is Christ was totally touched of the Lord. To know that almost 500 were in worship was such an encouragement. And to get to lead someone to Christ after the service was humbling and exciting.
But that’s not all, I followed that up by going with friends to FBC Woodstock to hear Cliff Duren’s new musical and was again so moved by the Spirit of God. I know that this is probably not the type of message you are looking for in this blog, but I can’t help it. God so deserves being bragged on for the way He is working that I can’t keep it to myself.
I told a friend tonight that I am happier now than I’ve ever been in my life, but it’s all because of who Christ is in me. My personal prayer last night and this morning was that God would “hide me behind the cross.” In other words, that no one would see or notice me throughout the day, but that they would only see the work of Jesus! I encourage you to pray the same thing this new day. Allow God’s love, mercy, grace, and peace to be displayed through you by Him.
Blessings to you!
